Here we had to remove a small tree as part of repainting of some railings in Liskeard
The bay tree was well established and had grown around the railings so that they were actually trapped inside the trunk.
The tree needed to be removed so the railings could be painted.
Some careful chainsawing was required to remove most of the wood but without damaging the railings or the saw.
We were then able to chisel enough of the wood away to completely remove the tree from the railings.
Luckily there are some small branches which should allow the tree to recover. All the trimmings were cleared away onto the customers bonfire heap ready for burning.
After cleaning the rust off the railings, painting continued and the job progressed well in the nice spring sunshine.
