New patio in Lanreath

New patio in Liskeard

This patio was constructed for a customer who we have worked for before.

They have recently added a conservatory to their house and we had fitted V4 wood flooring in it for them. During that job they enquired as to whether we could build a new patio for them.

We were very happy to take this job on. The customers wanted to create a curved patio and to match in with some existing paths. They also wanted to re-use some brick pavers that they already had, to have slabs that matched their steps and us to tidy up the areas of chippings around the conservatory. We kept the job tidy throughout using a skip and laying down a piece of surplus carpet to protect the driveway from mess from the cement mixer.

We dug out the area and laid a concrete base for the patio and a concrete footing for the brick edging.

The slabs were laid in a mortar mix on top of the concrete base ensuring a weed free patio for many years to come. We laid a three sized pattern to make the patio more pleasing to the eye and cut the outer rows of slabs to fit the curved edge. The patio was pointed in the traditional manner rather than using chemical pointing compounds which receive mixed reviews.

We joined up the paths and finished off the job to the customer's complete satisfaction.
